he Folk Flower has been a favorite block to teach in class for several years now, and most often I am teaching students their first ever reverse appliqué lesson. The original version of this quilt was also my first experience in reverse appliqué, and the technique is ideal for keeping curved pieces smooth and bulk free. This is especially important when choosing to stitch on the machine rather than by hand.
